Our team helped a language immersion school convert to hosting full-time classes completely online with a custom, flexible, virtual classroom setup. Users can easily access the daily schedule, assignments, playable videos, instructor communications, and launch live video meetings. School administrators easily manage and update all Classroom Portal content.
When COVID-19 closed down all of Jump Immersion School's locations in 2020, parents and teachers had much to figure out in just a short time. Like many others, their staff quickly began conducting classes virtually. But it became complicated keeping track of student schedules, assignments, video links, and communication.
So in preparation for the upcoming school year, we helped identify an opportunity for the school to offer the option to hold full-time classes completely online. Our team designed and built a custom Classroom Portal for day school classes and after-school programs, which give parents and teachers a simple and more predictable experience. Users can easily access all assignments, playable videos, and all materials needed for each class period throughout the day. They can also launch the appropriate live video meeting directly from the Classroom Portal for each class period.
We designed a workflow that grants school administrators full control of the content parents can access, while also identifying efficiencies and automating several of the school administrators most time-consuming tasks. This saves them hours of time each week.
Because this client has a custom-designed portal, our team can modify any classroom element or add new functionality based on user feedback; "off the shelf" platforms are typically constrained and do not offer this flexibility. Because of this flexibility, additional distance learning offerings -- beyond the traditional day school and after school programs -- are already underway.
This solution has remained in place for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years as well.
